Acadia National Park Requiring Masks in All Enclosed Buildings effective August 18
Effective immediately everyone, regardless of vaccination status will be required to wear a mask in all National Park buildings at Acadia National Park, and all National Parks. This is addition to the requirement of wearing masks on all Island Explorer buses.
Masks are also required to be worn in the campground amphitheaters, ranger-led programs, the Island Explorer Bus Stops and the plaza surrounding the Hulls Cove Visitor Center.

Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park was booming on Saturday, March 3, 2018. These photos and video were taken at about 1:30 p.m. High Tide was at 11:34 a.m. Bar Harbor was experiencing the after effects of a Nor'easter, which was affecting southern Maine and New England.
