Acadia Fire Soccer Weekly Update

Acadia Fire FC took its five Fall teams down to Sanford, Maine for a Columbus Weekend Tourney this past weekend and showed the other half of the state what soccer teams are capable of in Hancock County.

The U13 and U14 teams came away as the Runner-Up of their age groups. The U13s lost the final game 0-4 to Scarborough, but came away from the tournament outscoring their opponents 15-6, in their four games prior to the final. The U14's, borrowing some players from the younger squads throughout the weekend to keep a full squad, went into the final with a 2-1-1 record on the weekend before losing to Yarmouth. Highlights for the U14s were Cedar Ellis scoring 5 goals over 3 games, with Addi Laslie and Eduardo Figueroa-Flores and Caelan Billings each scoring 1 goal.

The U13 teams begins its Soccer Maine Fall Classic Travel League playoff matches this Saturday, October 14th, at 2:30PM against Bangor at the Brewer Community School, and Sunday, October 15th at 10AM against Pen Bay and at 4PM versus Brewer - the only team they have lost to in the regular season.

The U14 team will travel to Yarmouth this Saturday for an 11:30AM match-up against the Western Maine United club out of the Farmington area.
