Do you need assistance in filing your taxes? Volunteers from AARP are offering free tax appointments on Tuesdays through April 15th at the Ellsworth Public Library.

The volunteers are offering their free assistance from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. You'll need to make an appointment and you can do that through the Ellsworth Public Library's website HERE

The AARP volunteer will make every effort to complete your tax return in one visit if you come prepared. Please bring:

  1. Your social security card or SS annual statement
  2. Copy of prior year tax return (if you have one)
  3. Photo ID
  4. All documents pertaining to income or deductions.
    If self-employed, please have your income, expenses and mileage added up.
  5. Property tax or renter's information
  6. For direct deposit, please bring your bank routing number and account number
  7. For joint-married filings, both parties must be present to sign, but exceptions can be made in special cases such as disability, health, etc.
