Hello – this is Brian Langley. Chef-owner of the Union River Lobster Pot in Ellsworth. Since our restaurant is seasonal, we're closed right now. However, Hancock and Washington counties are FILLED with family-operated restaurants that are open year round. And that's what we want to talk to you about. Our family restaurants cherish our local guests. When you come into your favorite eatery, they know you by name. So, we want you to know that we, as local restaurant owners, have gotten together to talk about how we can better serve you. Especially now with the heightened concern about public safety.

Larry Lynch, Senior VP of certification and operations at the National Restaurant Association says that “Restaurants are tightly-regulated businesses that follow federal food codes. What restaurants are doing NOW reflects the food safety training that’s already in place.”

So on behalf of all the Ellsworth restaurants and their staffs, we want to reassure our valued guests that your safety is always our top concern. Our doors are open and we look forward to your next visit.
