There's still time for you to register for the 40th Annual Northeast Harbor Ambulance Service Road Race and Family Walk this Saturday, August 26th.

The 5 mile course skirts Somes Sound and is one of the oldest continuously held races in Maine, and is one of the best kept secrets.

The entry fee is $30.00 and registration and bib distribution will be on Saturday, August 26th from 7:30 AM to 9 AM in front of the Great Harbor Maritime Museum, 124 Main Street, in Northeast Harbor.

Participants will be taken by bus to the starting line. The beginning and ending of the race is at the Great Harbor Maritime Museum.

The family fun walk starts at 9AM and the competitive run begins at 9:30 AM.
Runners Awards:  Men and women - 1st place overall $100 gift certificates to Cadillac Mountain Sports, 2nd place overall $50 gift certificates to Cadillac Mountain. Sports

A raffle with some great prizes is currently underway - all proceeds benefit NEH Ambulance Service.  Grand prize is a YETI cooler with ice packs.  Local restaurants and merchants have generously donated some wonderful prizes.  Tickets are $2 each/ 3 for $5.00 or 12 for $20.00.  Drawing will be held at conclusion of race - winners do not need to be present to win.  Contact Suze Foster to purchase raffle tickets. 299-0207
