3 People Dead In Two Separate Waldo County Accidents
The Waldo County Sheriff's Office is investigating two accidents that left three people dead.
Both accidents happened Saturday morning. The first was at 1:20, when deputies responded to a fatal car accident on the Loggin Road in Frankfort and found a single vehicle rollover crash. 29-year-old Michael Butler of Winterport was alone in the vehicle and died at the scene.
The second accident happened just after 5:00 Saturday morning, on Route 1 in Prospect, near the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a single-vehicle crash involving a sedan that failed to negotiate a corner after exiting the bridge. Killed in the accident were 39-year-old Daniel Huntington of New Jersey and 37-year-old Sarah Brown of Monroe. Two others, 22-year-old Alexander Brown and 45-year-old Roger Brown, both of Prospect, were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.
Both accidents are still being investigated.
