Thanks everyone for the nice comments and reading the 25th Anniversary Blog! June 25th is fast approaching, when Bonnie and I will celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

We were living in Bangor, but were married in Framingham, Massachusetts, a town outside of Boston. My grandparents lived there, and it was a pretty central location for all of our friends and family that would be celebrating with us, when we were married.

Bonnie went down 4 or 5 days prior to me, as she was working on wedding decorations and other things. We had these nice roses, as gifts to everyone, and they needed to be filled with bird seed to throw rather than rice, and she was working on filling those (which wasn't an easy task) and other things. I flew down a day before the rehearsal and I was responsible for bringing the wedding dress!

I hadn't seen the dress, and I was under strict instructions not to see the dress when I picked it up. So I picked it up from Gosselin's Bridal Shop in Bangor, and it was in a garment bag, and following advice that has served me well for the 25 years, I followed my wife's instructions and didn't peek. I flew down on a little Delta Express jet, and couldn't carry the dress on the plane. I remember telling the gate attendant when I hand checked it, that the dress better make it all the way to Boston, and it better not be wrinkled when we got there!

Luckily, it made it down there, and wasn't wrinkled, although I hadn't peeked! So the first time I saw Bonnie in the wedding dress was when she walked up the aisle at St. Bridget's Church in Framingham! There were tears in my eyes because she was so gorgeous! Everyone kept telling me afterwards how great a smile I had on my face as Bonnie was escorted down the aisle by her father, Neil. And why not, I was marrying my best friend, and she was radiant!

Tomorrow, another story leading up to the wedding! Thanks for reading, and Bonnie, Happy Almost Anniversary!
