Trojans Move On to Finals [VIDEO]

The MDI Boy’s Basketball Team advanced to the Class B Northern Regional Finals on Saturday, February 25th at 3:45 PM with an impressive 48-38 victory over the Central Red Devils on Wednesday afternoon February 22nd.
MDI jumped out to a 17-7 lead in the 1st Quarter. Andrew Phelps had 7 points with 2 3-pointers and Riley Swanson drained 2 3-pointers for 6 points for the Trojans. Graham Good and Mac Shea each chipped in 2 points for the Trojans in the Quarter. For Central Adrew Speed had a 3-pointer and Caleb Shaw and Ethan Mailman each had 2 points.
In the 2nd Quarter, Central outscored MDI 8-2 to cut the lead to 19-15. Micah Ward and Ethan Mailman hit 3-pointers for Central while Dylan Gray had 2 points. For MDI Russell Kropff had their lone 2 points.
In the 3rd Quarter MDI came out and played uptempo, and outscored Central 17-9 to take a 36-24 lead. Riley Swanson had 8 points, with a 3-pointer, Mac Shea had 3 points and Drew Rich, Graham Good and Russell Kropff all had 2 points for the Trojans. For Central Andrew Speed, Micah Ward and Dylan Gray each had a 3-pointer.
In the 4 Quarter, MDI extended their lead, leading by as many as 15. In the Quarter Graham Good had 6 points, Riley Swanson hit his 4th 3-pointer of the game and Andrew Phelps had 3 points for the Trojans. For Central, Caleb Shaw had 6 points, Ethan Mailman had 5 points with a 3-pointer and Dylan Gray had a 3-pointer.
MDI was led by Riley Swanson who had a game high 17 points. Andrew Phelps and Graham Good each had 10 points. MDI was 4-8 from the free throw line.
Central was led by Ethan Mailman with 10 points while Caleb Shaw and Dylan Gray each had 8 points. Central was 4-4 from the free throw line.
