The Boston Red Sox swept the Oakland A's, winning their 4th game in-a-row Wednesday afternoon, beating the A's 1-0.

Nick Pivetta pitched 5 scoreless innings for the win, allowing just 5  hits. He struck out 3 and walked 1, improving his record to 1-0 on the season. He has a 0.82 ERA in 2 games.

Joely Rodriguez, Justin Slaten and Chris Martin combined to pitch the 6th, 7th and 8th innings, allowing 3 hits  and striking out 1. Kenley Jansen pitched the 9th for his 2nd save of the season, allowing 2 walks and striking out the final batter.

Jarren Duran was 4-4 and is now batting .393 for the season. Rafael Devers had a double.

The lone run came in the 4th inning when Enmanuel Valdez's sacrifice fly scored Triston Casas

Boston is now 5-2 on the season while Oakland falls to 1-6. Boston is off on Thursday, April 4th but will open a 3-game series in Anaheim on Friday night, April 5th. Kutter Crawford will start for the Red Sox. The pregame Friday night begins at 8:38 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 9:39 p,m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
