The Boston Red Sox return to Fenway Park on Monday still in 1st place, after a 10 game road trip in which they went 6-4 after beating the Toronto Blue Jays 5-3 on Sunday, May 13th. The Red Sox are now 12-1 in series finales, having won the last 6!

On Sunday, Drew Pomeranz got a no decision going 4 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 earned runs. He struck out 6 and walked 5. Hector Velazquez picked up the win and is now 5-0 pitching 2 innings and striking out 2 and allowing 2 hits. Matt Barnes pitched the 7th, Heath Embree the 8th and Joe Kelly the 9th for his 2nd save.

JD Martinez hit his 10th homer of the season in the top of the 1st to stake the Red Sox to a 2-0 lead. He ended up 2-3 with 3 RBI and is now hitting .342. Mookie Betts was 2-4 and is now hitting .360. Brock Holt had a double.

The Red Sox now open a 7 game homestand with 3 against the Oakland A's and 4 against the Baltimore Orioles. On Monday the Red Sox will send Rick Porcello to the mound with the pregame starting at 6:25 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
