The Boston Red Sox finished up their 10 game West Coast road trip with a 5-5 record after being shutout by the Seattle Mariners 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Steven Wright, the knuckleballer pitched 5 innings allowing 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 4, walked 1 and gave up 5 hits including a homer. Wright took the loss.

James Paxton shutout the Red Sox, and now has pitched 20 scoreless innings in a row. He gave up just hits and is now 2-2 on the season.

Brock Holt had 2 hits for the Red Sox including a double. Shane Victorino, Xander Bogaerts and Blake Swihart each had a single.

Boston is now 18-20, in third place 3.5 games out of first place and the New York Yankees. The Red Sox are off on Monday, and return to Fenway Park for a 6 game series starting on Tuesday night against the Texas Rangers (3 games) and Angels (3 games).
