State Police are investigating after a man's body was found in a parking lot in the town of Durham.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the body was discovered Tuesday morning in the parking lot of Runaround Pond, which is on a road by the same name. Police say the body appears to be that of a middle-aged man. There was no car found nearby.

The body was discovered by a man who was using the portable rest room at the parking lot. An autopsy will be performed by the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta to establish cause of death and the man's identity.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact the State Police.
