It was Senior Night in Bar Harbor on Friday, October 14th, for the MDI Trojans, and the Trojans did something that no other MDI boy's soccer team has done in recent memory, defeating the Ellsworth Eagles 2-1.

MDI and Ellsworth played to a scoreless draw at the end of the 1st Half, and it remained that way for the first 3:01, when Jose Chumbe found the back of the night for the Trojans with 36:59 remaining in regulation.

Ellsworth tied the score at 1-1 with 30:04 remaining when Jack McKechnie scored for the Eagles with an assist from Colby Clarke.

It looked like the score would be tied at the end of regulation, but with 2:45 left Adam Bygdeson scored to give the Trojans the 2-1 victory.

With the win, MDI is now 5-6-2 and sitting in 9th place in the Heal Point Standings. The Trojans last regular season game is at Hermon on Monday, October 17th at 6 PM. A Trojan victory should give them a home prelim playoff game.

Ellsworth is now 8-4-1. The Eagles are in 5th place in the Heal Point Standings. Ellsworth will play host to John Bapst on Monday, October 17th at 6 PM on Senior Recognition Night for the Eagles.
