MDI Girls Beat John Bapst 65-38 [PHOTOS/STATS]

Playing their best game of the season, the MDI Girl's Basketball Team beat John Bapst 65-38 at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor on Monday, January 22nd.

MDI jumped out to a 25-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter as Lexi Tozier had 11 points. The Trojans led 35-19 at the end of the 1st Half, with the Crusaders going on a 7-0 run at the end of the Half. MDI led 57-30 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Lexi Tozier with 15 points. Both Mollie Gray and Sophia Brophy each had 14 points. The Trojans had 6 3-pointers in the game, with Lily Norwood, Calleigh Trenholm and Mollie Gray each draining 2 3's. MDI was 7-11 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Stella Goetz with 14 points and Claire Gaetani with 11 points. The Crusaders were 8-17 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 7-4. The Trojans travel to East Machias on Wednesday, January 24th to take on the Washington Academy Raiders. The tip-off is at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, with the pregame starting at 5:45 p.m.

John Bapst is now 2-12. They host Old Town on Saturday, January 27th at 6 p.m.
