MDI Girls Beat Hermon 46-21 [STATS/PHOTOS]

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team beat the Hermon Hawks 46-21 in Bar Harbor on Monday, January 29th.

Hermon led the majority of the 1st Quarter, but the Trojans took a 10-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. MDI outscored Hermon 13-2 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 23-9 lead at the end of the 1st Half. MDI led 34-16 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was paced by Mollie Gray with a game-high 20 points, including 2 3-pointers. Sophia Brophy had 8 points. MDI was just 4-13 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Madilyn McDougal with 7 points including a 3-pointer. Brooke Gallop had 2 3-pointers for 6 points. The Hawks were 2-6 from the free throw line.

Hermon is now 3-11 on the season. The Hawks travel to Old Town to play the Coyotes on Wednesday, January 31st at 7 p.m.

MDI is now 10-5. The Trojans travel to Foxcroft Academy on Wednesday, January 31st at 7 p.m. and at Houlton on Saturday, February 3rd at 12:30 p.m. Both of those games will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled devices.
