MDI Coach’s Show August 31 [VIDEO]

MDI Head Football Coach Mark Shields joined WDEA's Chris Popper on Thursday, August 31st a day prior to the start of the 2023 regular season when the Trojans host Mountain Valley on Friday, September 1st.

Remember that MDI has switched the start of their home football games to 6 p.m. with the exception of the MDI-Waterville game on September 22nd which will be at 7 p.m.

The Snack Shack will be closed on Friday, September 1st, so make sure to bring something to eat or drink to the game. The MDI Athletic Boosters need volunteers to staff the Snack Shack. Those interested can reach out to Wendy Littlefield by calling 288-5011 or emailing her 

Coach Shields talked about the exhibition game against Dexter last Saturday, August 26th, and the preparation this week to play the Falcons. Coach Shields mentioned 2 Keys to the Game...Special Teams and Turnovers...The Trojans need to hang on to the ball and be aggressive in trying to cause turnovers.
