MDI and Ellsworth Semifinal Basketball Tourney Games – February 21

The MDI and Ellsworth Girls and Boys Basketball Teams will be in action on Wednesday, February 21st at the Cross Insurance Center, as all 4 teams will be playing in Class B Semifinals!

All 4 games may be heard on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device

Here's the schedule.

• 10 a.m.  #10 MDI Boys 11-9 vs. #3 Old Town 16-3
• 11:30 a.m. #1 Ellsworth Boys 16-3 vs. #4 Orono 16-3
• 2 p.m. #6 MDI Girls vs. #2 Old Town 17-2
• 3:30 p.m. #1 Ellsworth Girls 19-0 vs. #4 Caribou 13-6

MDI and Ellsworth are well acquainted with Old Town, Orono and Caribou having played them twice during the regular season.

The MDI Boys have lost both games to Old Town losing 59-48 on January 6th and 63-45 on January 18th.

The Ellsworth Boys have split their 2 games with Orono, losing at home on December 14th 78-56 and then winning in Orono 62-49 on January 11th.

The MDI Girls have lost both games to Old Town losing 47-29 on January 5th and then 54-31 on January 19th

The Ellsworth Girls beat Caribou both times they met, winning 65-50 on December 22nd up in the County and then 70-50 on January 27th at home
