The Colby Mules beat the Maine Maritime Women's Basketball Team 71-57 in Castine on Tuesday, November 28th.

Colby led 25-13 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 44-27 at the end of the 1st Half. Colby led 56-37 at the 3rd Quarter.

Maine Maritime Academy had 3 players in double-figures. Maria Barela had a team-high 15 points, and just missed a double-double, pulling down 9 rebounds. Grace Huntwork finished with 12 points and Evelyn Dagan had 11 points.

The Mariners were 20-55 (36.4 percent) from the floor, and 11-22 (50 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc. They were 6-14 from the free throw line.

Colby was led by Kate Olenik with a game-high 19 points. Amelia Hanscom had 9 points.

The Mules were 27-59 from the field, shooting 45.8 percent. They were 7-19 from beyond the 3-point arch and 10-14 from the free throw line.

Colby is now 6-1 on the season. They travel to take on the Bowdoin Polar Bears on Saturday, December 2nd at 3 p.m.

Maine Maritime Academy is now 3-3. They will host the UMaine-Farmington Beavers on Saturday, December 2nd at 3 p.m..
