The Maine Maritime Academy Women's Basketball Team beat UMaine-Farmington 89-42 in Castine on Saturday afternoon, December 2nd.

Maine Maritime Academy led 19-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 38-21 at the end of the 1st Half. The Mariners outscored the Beavers 33-13 in the 3rd Quarter to lead 71-34 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

MMA had 4 players in double-figures. Evelyn Dagan had 14 points. Erianna Moore finished with a double-double scoring 11 points and ripping down a game-high 12 rebounds. Makenzie Monzon had 11 points and Jasmine Anderson just missed a double-double finishing with 11 points and 9 rebounds.

The Mariners shot 47.4 percent from the floor going 36-76. They were 8-34 from beyond the 3-point arc and 9-11 from the free throw line.

Evelyn Dagan had 4 3's. Erianna Moore, Grace Huntwork, Sydney Loring and Hailey Blanchard each had a 3-pointer for Maine Maritime Academy.

Jessica Dow had a game-high 15 points to lead the Beavers in scoring. Sarah Poli finished with 13 points.

The Beavers shot just 23 percent from the field, going 14-61. They were 4-18 from beyond the 3-point arc and were 10-15 from the free throw line.

Sarah Poli had 2 3-pointers and Jessica Dow and Maddy White each sank a 3-pointer for the Beavers.

UMaine Farmington is now 2-7 overall and 0-1 in the North Atlantic Conference. They will host Lesley University on Friday December 8th at 7:30 p.m.

Maine Maritime Academy improves to 4-3 overall and are 1-0 in the North Atlantic Conference. They will travel to Bangor to play Husson University on Thursday, December 7th at 7:30 p.m.
