Forecasters are predicting a hotter than normal summer in Maine. Sound good?

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Maine and the much of the East Coast has more than a 50-percent chance of having a hotter-than-normal June through August.

Meanwhile, it will be business as usual in much of the Midwest, with higher-than-normal temperatures also predicted for the Southwestern United States.

Since it's only May, we're looking forward to the heat. We may change our tune in August, but for now, we say, "bring it on!"

Oh, and you'll probably want to know when the local pools open for the season. We have all that information for you, too!
