High School Basketball This Weekend

WDEA's coverage of High School Basketball tips off this Friday and Saturday, with the MDI Thanksgiving Tip-Off Tournament. Four girl's games will be played on Friday November 27th and four boy's games will be played on Saturday November 28th. Admission is by bringing a new unwrapped toy or cash donations so the school can buy presents for the Christmas is for Kid's program.

On Friday, November 27th, MDI, Ellsworth, Lake Region and Greely will compete. The schedule for Friday is
1PM Greely vs. Ellsworth
2:30 PM Lake Region vs. MDI
4 PM Lake Region vs. Ellsworth
5:30 PM Greely vs. MDI

WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio will broadcast the 2:30 and 4 PM games.

On Saturday, November 28th, MDI, Ellsworth, Gardiner and Fryeburg Academy will compete . The schedule for Saturday is
1 PM Fryeburg Academy vs. Ellsworth
2:30 PM Gardiner vs MDI
4 PM Gardiner vs. Ellsworth
5:30 PM Fryeburg Academy vs. MDI

WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio will broadcast the 2:30 and 4 PM games.

Our regular season coverage tips off the weekend of December 4th and 5th. The MDI Girls will play at Old Town on Friday December 4th and the the Ellsworth Boys will play at Foxcroft Academy on Saturday December 5th. Both games will tip off at 7 PM with the pregames beginning at 6:45 PM.

Also in action on Friday and Saturday nights will be the Ellsworth Girls at Foxcroft Academy on Friday December 4th and MDI at Old Town on Saturday the 5th. Although we wont' be broadcasting those games, we will have recaps and box scores on the WDEA website.
