Hamilton to Florida Southern

Ellsworth High School senior Talor Hamilton announced via Facebook that he is committing to attending Division II Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida in the Fall of 2016. The Mocs are the 2013 and 2014 NCAA Runner Ups and the Sunshine State Conference in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Talor owns 1 state record, multiple class B State Meet, Pool and Ellsworth High School records. He was the 2015 Wendy's Heisman Winner for the State of Maine. He was selected to the State and PVC All Star Team 4 times, the PVC All Star Academic Team, the State All Star Academic Team and was also honored with the  all American Academic Award. Hamilton was a 3 time Co-Captain of the Ellsworth Eagles Boy's Swim Team.

Swimming for the DEFY Dolphins, Hamilton was a 3 time Short Course National Qualifer. He placed 11th in the country in the 50 yard freestyle event in 2015, and 21st in the 100 yard backstroke event in 2016. He has qualified 3 times for the Long Course Nationals and in 2015 placed 10th in the nation in the 50 yard freestyle event. He owns multiple age records in freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly and relays.
