Haley Lawrence at UMaine

Continuing our spotlight on former Ellsworth and MDI alumni in college we turn to Haley Lawrence from Ellsworth High School who is now a first year student at the University of Maine.

Lawrence was the 2014 Eastern Maine Class B Cross Country Champion and is now running for the UMaine Cross Country Team. In her first meet at home on September 5th, against West Point, she finished 15th with a time of 21:17.3. In her next meet on September 12th she improved her time to 20:04 finishing 55th out of 82. During the summer she finished in 5th place in the Tough Mountain Challenge at Sunday River for Women Under 30.

Her next meet is this Friday September 18th at home against UNH. Best of luck Haley and Go Blue!
