Friends in Action October 2023 Community Lunches

Here are the Friends in Action Lunch Menus for October 2023!

The lunches are served at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth, every Tuesday and Thursday,  across from Knowlton Park. The cost of the lunches are $5.00.

The lunches are nutritious, delicious, inexpensive and more importantly a chance for seniors to get together in an air-conditioned setting and meet new friends or catch up with old friends!

The lunches have proven to be so popular that Friends in Action is asking that you let them know by Monday at 4:30 p.m. that you will be attending the Tuesday lunch and by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday if you will be attending the Thursday lunch, so that way they have enough food prepared and place settings set. You can either let them know at the lunch or by giving them a call at 664-6016

• Tuesday, October 3 - Chicken Cordon Bleu, Mixed Vegetables, Peaches and Dessert
• Thursday, October 5 - Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Tomato Soup, Apples and Dessert
• Tuesday, October 10 - Spaghetti with Red Pepper Meat Sauce, Bread, Salad and Dessert
• Thursday, October 12 - Cheeseburger, Sweet Potato Fries, Applesauce and Dessert
• Tuesday, October 17 - Chicken Alfredo, Bread, Salad, Pears and Dessert
• Thursday, October 19 - Beef Stroganoff, Mixed Vegetables, Pineapple and Dessert
• Tuesday, October 24 - Meatballs with Gravy, Bread, Potato, Carrots, Pears and Dessert
• Thursday,October 26 - Chicken Parmesan on Roll, Carrots, Broccoli and Apple Sauce and Dessert
• Tuesday, October 31 - Frankenstein "Booo-ritos", Potato and "Booo - nilla"
