Free Throws Sink MDI Girls [PHOTOS]

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team lost to John Bapst on Tuesday, December 20th at the Bernard Parady Gymnasium 56-47. John Bapst was 24-36 from the free throw line while MDI was 8-16.

The two teams were tied 10-10 at the end of the 1st Quarter, with the Crusaders up 22-18 at the end of the 1st Half. It was Bapst up 35-30 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

John Bapst was led by Gracie Philippon with 24 points. She was 14-19 from the free throw line and had 2 3-pointers. Crystal Bell had 19 points with a 3-pointer and was 4-5 from the free throw line.

MDI was led by by Maddy Good with 13 points and a 3-pointer. Mariah Hamor had 8 points and Maddy Candage had 7 points.

John Bapst is now 4-0 and will play host to Presque Isle on Saturday, December 23rd at 6 PM at the Cross Insurance Center.

MDI is now 2-2 and will play at Mattanawcook Academy on Tuesday, December 27th at 1:30 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.
