The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team defeated Caribou 41-26 on Friday afternoon, December 28th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.

Caribou jumped out to a 8-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Ellsworth outscored the Vikings 8-4 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 15-14 lead at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles put the game away with a 20-4 run in the 3rd Quarter to take a 35-18 lead.

Ellsworth was led by Samantha Carter with 10 points while Trinity Montigny had 8 points. Ella Hubbard and Montigny each had a 3-pointer for the Eagles. Ellsworth was 5-11 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Taylor Labreck with 9 points while Abbi Robbins had 7 points. The Vikings were 8-20 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 5-1 on the season and will play host to Orono on Monday, December 31st at 1PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Caribou, 0-6 plays host to Foxcroft Academy on Monday, December 31st at 1:30PM
