On Senior Night at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth, the Ellsworth Eagles nipped the MDI Trojans 3-2 in a hard fought, well played game on Tuesday October 20th.

MDI scored 1st, when Zakari Charette found the back of the net with 19:19 remaining in the 1st Half, and that's the way the half ended with MDI up top 1-0.

Ellsworth tied the score at 1-1 when Dagan Berenyi scored on a penalty kick for the Eagles.

Trent Goodman put Ellsworth up 2-1 when he scored just minutes later, with an assist from Kyle Golding.

Golding then scored with 8:02 left in the game, to put Ellsworth up 3-1.

Griffin Maristany scored for MDI with 2:15 left in the game, to make the score 3-2, but MDI couldn't score again.

Bruce St. Peter had 4 saves for Ellsworth, while Kendrew Van Gorder had 8 saves for MDI.

Ellsworth finishes the regular season with a record of 11-2-1 and in 1st place in the Class B East Heal Points. Ellsworth has a bye in the playoffs, and will play the winner of the #8 Medomak Valley - #9 Foxcroft Academy prelim game at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on October 28th

MDI finishes the regular season with a record of 8-5-1 and finishes in 7th place in the Clas B East Heal Points. MDI will play the #10 seed Erskine Academy on Saturday, October 24th in a prelim game. The winner of that game will play #2 Winslow at Winslow on October 28th.
