The Ellsworth Eagles celebrated Senior Night at Ellsworth High School, defeating the Dexter Tigers 30-16. The Eagles finished the season 5-3, and celebrated their 1st winning record since the program's rebirth. It was the perfect way to honor the last home game for the team's 7 seniors Devin Wright, Wally Moon, Tyler Hardwick, Austin Smith, Ed Sadler, Connor Petros and Chris Dejulio.

According to Coach Duane Crawford

Last nights victory over Dexter ( Ellsworth was listed as the underdog by the way by most pundits) was a testament to how far this program has come and to the players that have worked hard all season🏈
Defensively we held Dexter to one first half td and one under two minutes when the game was essentially over. The defense did a tremendous job with Wally Moon and Keith Jordan leading the team with 9 tackles each. Austin Smith was a close second with 8 and Tyler Hardwick and Ed Sadler each with 7. Austin Smith and Damien Carter each had a fumble recovery and Chris Fickett had an interception on the night! Offensively the line put it together in the second half to help lead the way for Devin Wright to go 351 yards on 41 carries and 5 touchdowns on the night! Beast Mode🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 Keith Jordan, Damien Carter, Ed Sadler, Isiah Isaiah Cutshall, Austin Smith, Ethan Kane and Wally Moon neutralized the 8 or 9 players Dexter was stacking in the box to give Devin his running room. 30-16🏈🏈🏈🏈 not bad guys

The Ellsworth Eagles will play an exhibition game at Medomak Valley next Friday night, October 30th.
