Ellsworth 73 Freyburg Academy 48 [Box Score]

The Ellsworth Eagles defeated the Freyburg Academy Raiders 73-48 in the first game of the MDI Thanksgiving Tip Off Tourney in Bar Harbor on Saturday, November 28th.

Fryeburg Academy jumped out to a 25-20 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Ellsworth outscored the Raiders 15-5 in the 2nd Quarter 15-5 to take a 35-30 lead at the end of the 1st Half.

Ellsworth never looked back, outscoring Freyburg Academy 14-7 to take a 49-37 lead after the 3rd Quarter. The Eagles outscored the Raiders 24-11 in the final quarter to win 73-48.

Ellsworth was led by Bruce St. Peter with 14 points, while Zac Harris had 13 points and Bryce Harmon had 12 points. Ellsworth was 11-21 from the free throw line. Harris had 3 3-pointers, Nick Bagley had 2 3-pointers, Kyle Golding had 2 3-pointers and Charlie Libbey had 1 3-pointer.
