Ellsworth 55 Fryeburg Academy 37

The Ellsworth Boy's Varsity tipped off the second day of the MDI Thanksgiving Tip Off Tourney with an impressive 55-37 victory over Fryeburg Academy on Saturday November 29th.

Ellsworth played an up tempo style and still used their 3 point shooting, to take a 17-4 1st Quarter lead. Griffin Nightingale hit 2 of his 4 3 pointers in the 1st Quarter and Nick Bagley drained a 3 pointer as well.

At the half, Ellsworth was up 28-12 as Nightingale had 13 points for Ellsworth. Ellsworth was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line in the 1st Half.

In the 3rd Quarter Ellsworth outscored Fryeburg Academy 12-11 to take a 40-23 lead. Fryeburg Academy was 5-10 from the free throw line in the quarter.

For the game, Nightingale led all scorers with 18 points, and Mitchell Domagala had 9 points for the Eagles. Jonathan Burk had 13 points for Fryeburg Academy and Ryan Gullickson had 10 points.
