The Ellsworth Eagle's Softball Team's season came to an end on Thursday, June 9th when they fell to Winslow 5-3 in Winslow in the Class B North Quarterfinals. Ellsworth the #6 seed finishes the season with a 12-6 record.

Ellsworth proved to be the gracious guest, spotting Winslow with 4 unearned runs, 2 in the 1st and 2 in the 2nd. Ellsworth then settled down and retired 11 in a row before giving up a run in the 6th.

Ellsworth battled back in the final innings. Leah Stevens led off the top of the 6th inning but was forced out at 2nd as Hannah Sargent reached on a fielder's choice.  Caitlin Bean singled and Callie Hammer singled, driving in Sargent.

In the top of the 7th Katelynn Bagley walked and then Abby Lynch hit a monster home run, to drive in 2 runs, but that was as close as the Eagles came, losing 5-3.

It was the final game for the Eagle's Seniors, Payton Massey, Abby Lynch, Breann Cummings, Caitlyn Bean and Kate Whitney.
