Today, April 22nd is Earth Day, and you can do something to help Mother Earth and protect yourself and family by participating in  Drug Take-back Events that are taking place today and Saturday.

Today the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department has set up containers at the Airport Mall on Union Street in Bangor and will be collecting expired and unused drugs from 6AM to 6PM, no questions asked.

On Saturday, April 25th the Hancock County Sheriff's Department in conjunction with the Ellsworth Police Department will be collecting expired and unused drugs from 9AM to 1PM in the parking lot behind the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce building on High Street in Ellsworth.

Additionally, Police Departments in Bar Harbor, Bucksport, Gouldsboro, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor and Winter Harbor will be collecting expired and unused drugs on Saturday.
