Sale finished the night pitching 4.2 innings, allowing a home run. He struck out 7. He threw 58 pitches, 42 of them for strikes.

Kyle Barraclough made his Red Sox debut and pitched 1.1 innings, allowing just a hit, striking out 3.

Chris Murphy was lights out, pitching the final 3 innings, earning his 1st save. He struck out 4, walked 2 and didn't allow a hit.

Tristan Casas hit a 3-run homer in the 4th inning. It was his 19th of the season. He has 10 homers since the All-Star Game, which is the most in the American League.

Trevor Story, playing shortstop was 2-4 and led off the 4th and 6th innings with singles. He also stole 2nd and scored in the 6th inning.

Connor Wong was 2-4 with a RBI single.

Pablo Reyes, playing 2nd base was 2-4.
