At Wednesday, June 12th's special Bar Harbor Town Council Meeting, newly elected Jeff Dobbs was elected as Council Chair by a vote of 4-3.

301 Ellsworth voters went to the polls on Tuesday, June 11th to vote on the School Budget as well as to whether to continue the budget validation referendum process.

The annual Bar Harbor Open Town Meeting was held on Tuesday night, June 4th at the Conners-Emerson School. There were 135 people in attendance. Here are the results

According to Heidi Omlor LD 1050 made it through committee and the Senate where it was unanimously approved 34-0. The next stop is in the House, where they may be opposition. Mrs. Omlor reports that this may be taken up as soon as Wednesday, May 29th. If you support this bill, you are encouraged to email your local representative and ask them to support passage.

Voters in Trenton went to the polls on Monday, May 20th. Here are the results. Remember the remaining articles in the warrant including the school budget, and continued funding for the pre-K program will be decided tonight, at the Town Meeting at 6PM at the Trenton Elementary School

Last night, May 6th the voters of Mount Desert spoke and re-elected Wendy Littlefield and Matt Hart to the Board of Selectmen, for another 3 year term.

These families have already paid a hefty price. Should we really ask them to fork out $35 to honor a fallen family member?

The deadline to file to run for the Bar Harbor Town Council was Friday, April 26th at 5PM and there will be 4 names on the June 11th ballot.
