Candage Class C East Player of Year

MDI's Senior Teagan Candage was named Class C East Player of the Year, Sunday November 10, 2013 in voting by the Class C East Coaches.

Candage led Class C East with 1184 yards. He carried the ball 123 times and scored 12 touchdowns in the regular season. He was named to the Class C East All Conference 1st Team.

Boomer Carroll (Linebacker) and Jon Phelps (Quarteback) were name to the All Conference 2nd Team. Carroll who missed the opening couple of games for MDI still finished 5th in Class C East with 80 tackles. He had 59 solo tackles and 21 assists. Phelps, was 21-44 passing, 3 TD, 2 Int and 318 passing yards. He also rushed for 405 yards, carrying the ball 52 times, and scored 8 touchdowns. Defensively, Phelps had 46 tackles, 11 assists and 1 interception.

MDI's tight ends, Keiran Rush and  Dakota Stewart were named to the Class C East Honorable Mention All Conference Team. Rush had 7 catches for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Stewart had 7 catches for 186 yards and 1 touchdown.
