Would you wear a sticker on your thigh and let everyone look at it if you were going to be paid? That's what is happening in Japan right now!

A Japanese marketing firm called "Absolute Territory" is utilizing women for a bizarre new advertising trend. The company takes its name from a slang Japanese phrase -- absolute territory -- which refers to the exposed flesh between a knee high sock and a skirt on a woman. So they've actually talked women into placing advertising stickers on their thighs and then going on about their regular day. As long as the ad is showing on their legs for eight hours a day or more, they are paid an advertising fee. As proof of their work, participants must post pictures of themselves "wearing" the ad on their Facebook and Twitter pages or other social media sites. Eichi Atsumi, a spokesperson for Absolute Territory PR, says any woman can take part so long as they are over 18 and have at least 20 social network friends.

Jeesh, whatever happened to display advertising on a website or a simple radio commercial?
