Basketball In the County

The MDI and Ellsworth Basketball Teams will be heading up I-95 on the big yellow school buses to play Presque Isle and Caribou this weekend as we reach crunch time in basketball season.

As play begins on Friday, January 27 the MDI Boy's Basketball Team is undefeated and number 1 in the B North Heal Point Standings with a 13-0 record. Ellsworth sits in 9th place with a 6-6 record. Presque Isle is in 6th place with a 8-5 record and Caribou is in 13th place, just out of the playoffs (the Top 12 make the playoffs) with a 4-9 record.

On Friday night, the MDI Boys will play Presque Isle at 7:30 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio. Ellsworth will take on Caribou at 7:30 PM. We will have box scores and recaps for both games on our website.

On Saturday, the MDI Boys will play Caribou at 2:30 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio. Ellsworth will take on Presque Isle at 2:30 PM. We will have box scores and recaps for both games on our website

On the girl's side, as of Friday January 27th, the MDI Girls are in 8th place in the B North Heal Point Standings with a 8-5 record. The Ellsworth Girls are in 10th place with a 6-7 record. Presque Isle is in 3rd place with a 9-4 record and Caribou is in 12th place, the final playoff spot, with a 4-9 record.

On Friday, the Ellsworth Girls will play Caribou at 4:30 PM while MDI plays Presque Isle at 6 PM. The MDI-Presque Isle game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio. We will have box scores and recaps for both games on our website
