Anticipated Storm Causes Change in Ellsworth Prelim Games

The anticipated storm that could bring a significant amount of snow to the region Tuesday night into Wednesday has caused changes in the Ellsworth Basketball Prelim games! There will now be a doubleheader on Tuesday night, February 12th beginning at 5:30PM.

The Girls Basketball Team, finished with a record of 13-5. They will host the John Bapst Crusaders, the 11th seeded team on Tuesday night, February 12th at 7PM. John Bapst finished the season with a record of 6-12.

Ellsworth defeated John Bapst 42-35 in Ellsworth on Thursday, January 17th.

The Boys Basketball Team finished the season with a record of 12-6. They will host the Winslow Black Raiders, the 11th seeded team on Tuesday night, February 12th at 5:30PM. Winslow finished the season with a 8-10 record.

WDEA AM 1370 will broadcast both games with the pregame beginning at 5:15. In addition the games will be broadcast online at WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device

If the Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team defeats John Bapst, they would play the #3 seed, the Waterville Purple Panthers on Friday night, February 15th at the Cross Insurance Center at 8PM.

If the Ellsworth Boys Basketball defeats Winslow on Wednesday, they would play the #3 seed, the MDI Trojans to open Tourney 2019 on Friday, February 15th at the Cross Insurance Center at 5PM.
