Acadian Juniors Stay Alive Monday

The Acadian Junior All-Stars staved off elimination on Monday, July 18th defeating Bucksport 4-3 . The Acadians were trailing 3-2 as they came up to bat in the bottom of the 7th, but Grady Wellman-Webster reached base, Porter Isaacs walked and Nate Philbrook pitchran for him. Colyn Rich doubled tying the game scoring Wellman-Webster. Brett Duley grounded a ball through the right side scoring Philbrook and giving the Acadians a walk-off win!

The Acadians are now 2-1 and will face Calais on Tuesday, July 19th at Mount Desert Elementary School in another elimination game.

The Acadians used 5 pitchers in the victory, Sam Mitchell, Grady Wellman-Webster, Parker Isaacs, Brady Renault and Colyn Rich. Combined they struck out 5 batters.

The Junior Acadians roster includes Brett Duley, Logan Beckwith, Sam Mitchell, Nick Corson, Erik Merchant, Ethan Merchant, Grady Wellman-Webster, Oliver Blank, Jack DaCorte, Porter Isaacs, Colyn Rich, Nate Philbrook and Brady Renault.
