3 Cheers For the Band! (Video)

MDI's Band rocked yesterday at the Cross Insurance Center!

When I was down there getting set up, the band hadn't arrived, as members of the Show Choir were competing Friday afternoon at the regionals at Sumner High School. As a result, the Cross Insurance Center was being "treated" to the Lake Region Pep Band that, well, let's just say it, was a little different to what we were used to hearing at high school basketball games in Eastern Maine. Case in point - "Big Girls Back Them Up - Wobble Wobble Wobble", was just not a song I have ever heard in seven years broadcasting games.

Along press row, everyone kept coming up to me, and kept asking, "The MDI Band is coming, right?" "Please tell me they're on their way!". I assured them, that yes, the Trojan Band was on it's way, and when the band arrived, a cheer went up in the Cross Insurance Center! When MDI started playing, the Lake Region band, actually left the bleachers for a bit!
