The National Park Service has announced that entrance fees will be waived on 6 days at Acadia National Park in 2024. They are

  • January 15: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • April 20: First day of National Park Week
  • June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
  • August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
  • September 28: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

As a reminder that park passes are required to be displayed throughout the year, whenever travelling through the Park.

This is also your reminder that the Annual Acadia National Park Passes are being sold through the end of the year! You can purchase a $70 park pass for just $35.00. Supplies are limited, and remember most locations will be closing early on December 24th and 31st and closed on Christmas!

Passes are available at the following locations:

  • Acadia National Park (Sand Beach Entrance Station)
  • Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center
  • Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce (available starting December 4th)
  • Southwest Harbor/ Tremont Chamber of Commerce  (sold at Harbor House, Southwest Harbor)
  • Gouldsboro Town Office
  • Mount Desert Town Office
  • Tremont Town Office (available starting December 4th)
  • Winter Harbor Town Office (available starting December 4th)
  • Blue Hill Town Office (tentatively planning on having them for sale)

Most locations are only accepting cash or checks. Checks should be made to the National Park Service. Locations normally do not accept credit cards because of the credit card service fees, and they are doing this as a convenience for residents.
