A traffic stop for a broken headlight led to the seizure of $15,000 worth of drugs after a State Trooper searched the vehicle. The driver of the car is now facing drug charges.

Trooper Tucker Bonnevie stopped the Blue Nissan Maxima  on Route 15 in Glenburn on October 8th. While speaking to the operator, Michael Harris, age 50 of Eddington, Bonnevie noticed illegal drugs and searched the car.

Seized were about 350 oxycodone pills as well as methadone and suboxone. He also found a large quantity of processed marijuana and over $10,000 in cash. The drugs have a street value of $15,000.

Trooper Bonnevie was assisted by the North Central Drug Task Force (MDEA) in Bangor. The investigation is continuing.
