Congratulations to Elaine Hutchins, a rising senior at Ellsworth High School and Hancock County Technical Center who found out today, August 12th that she had earned the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouts.

Hutchins, 17, has worked her way up the Girl Scout ranks starting as a Daisy, and progressing to Brownie, Junior, Cadet, Senior and now as an Ambassador

She is studying Health Occupations at Hancock County Technical Center and has already earned her CNA and is working at Narraguagus Healthcare.

Elaine earned her Bronze Award in June 2013 and Silver Award in July 2017.

Her project for the Gold Award was putting together Literacy  Bags for Kindergarten students and was mentored by Susan Frost and Jamie Reid from Ellsworth Elementary School.
