The Boston Red Sox enter the All-Star break with baseball's best record 68-30, sitting 4.5 games ahead of the New York Yankees. With the All-Star break here, it's time for you to cast your ballots and pick the Red Sox Most Valuable Player of the 1st Half.

In my estimation, there are 4 candidates, JD Martinez, Chris Sale, Mookie Betts and Alex Cora the manager. Technically Cora isn't a player, but for voting purposes let's pretend he is.

JD Martinez ends the 1st Half with 23 doubles, 29 home runs, and 80 runs batted in. He has a .328 batting average. He's been in the outfield 38 games and hasn't committed an error and has 2 assists

Mookie Betts leads the major leagues with a .359 batting average. He is 2nd in runs scored with 79 runs scored. He has 25 doubles and 3 triples. He has hit 23 homers and driven in 51 runs. In the field he has only made 1 error in 158 chances.

Chris Sale has a record of 10-4. He's 2nd in ERA with a 2.23 ERA. He leads the majors with 188 strikeouts in 20 games.

Alex Cora in his 1st year as the Manager seems to have pushed all the right buttons, leading to the Red Sox to their best start with a 68-30 record.

So go ahead and vote! Who is the Red Sox MVP prior to the All-Star break?
