Wednesday’s MDI Girl’s and Ellsworth Boy’s Basketball Games Postponed

Because of poor weather in Penobscot County, the MDI Girl's game against  Old Town and the Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Game against John Bapst, scheduled for Wednesday, January 5th have been postponed.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Bangor area until 7 p.m. tonight. Roads are slippery and with the temperatures dropping, they are expected to become slippier.

Both games will be rescheduled. As soon as we know when they will be rescheduled to, we will let everyone know.

That means our next games on the radio will be on Thursday, January 6th when we will broadcast the Ellsworth-Bucksport Girl's Basketball Game. That game will tip-off at 7 p.m. and our pregame will begin at 6:45 p.m. The game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

The game will also be live-streamed on the Ellsworth High School You Tube Channel

As of Wednesday morning, January 5th, the Ellsworth Girls have a record of 5-3 and are in 3rd place in the Northern Maine Class B Heal Points. The MDI Girls are 4-2 and  in 6th place in the Northern Maine Class B Heal Points. The Ellsworth Boys are 7-0 and  in 1st place in the Northern Maine Class B Heal Points. The MDI Boys are 0-6 and in 16th place in the Northern Maine Class B Heal Points.
