Wear Red This Friday January 19th to Support Maine’s Lobster Industry and Coastal Communities
I first saw this on Facebook, and thought "What a kind gesture." The first post I saw was a reshare by Hancock County Technical Center of Harrington Elementary School's post.
We have all been horrified at the devastation that the Coastal Maine communities have experienced in the 2 storms last week. The damage will take years to recover from.
While some cynics may say wearing red is just in the category of "thoughts and prayers", I think if you wear red and post your photos on Facebook, it shows solidarity, and hopefully a good feeling for those impacted!
If you do wear red on Friday, please email me your photo! We will post a collage of those wearing red on the WDEA website!

LOOK: Things from the year you were born that don't exist anymore
The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
