The Washington Academy Raiders remained unbeaten, beating the Ellsworth Eagles 6-1 in Ellsworth on Tuesday, May 12th.

Trevor Shimabukuro picked up the win for Washington Academy, pitching a complete game and holding Ellsworth to 7 hits. He allowed 1 run, striking out 12 and walking 1.

Dawson Curtis took the loss for Ellsworth. He allowed 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 5 and walking 1. Evan Haskell pitched 1.2 innings allowing a hit and run, striking out 2 and walking 4. Gunner Vines recorded the last 2 outs, allowing 2 hits and 3 runs, striking out 1 and walking 1.

Parker Cates hit a home run and drove in 2 runs for Washington Academy. Colby Moholland had a double and drove in 2 runs. James Welch was 2-4. Shimabukuro, George Welch and Keagon Dinsmore each had a single.

Washington Academy stole 6 bases with Shimabukuro swiping 2 bags and Daniel Gardiner, Giovanni Favuzzi and James Welch each stealing a base.

Dawson Curtis was 2-3 for Ellsworth. Jackson Berry was 2-3 with a double. Brayden Pooler was 2-3 with a stolen base. Porter Merrill had a double.

Washington Academy is now 9-0 and will host Bucksport on Friday, May 15th at 4:30

Ellsworth is now 6-1 and will host Foxcroft Academy on Friday, May 15th at 4:30 p.m.
