Hancock County Storm Knocks Out Power For Thousands

There were 7614 Versant Power customers still without power as of Friday morning, July 17th after a fast moving large thunderstorm with heavy winds came through Hancock County on Thursday afternoon, July 16th.

Versant Power is hoping to have power restored to all customers by 8 p.m. on Friday night, July 17th.

The majority of the Hancock County outages are located

1077 around the Town of Hancock
798 in the Green Lake area.
777 in the Mariaville - Amherst area
645 in the Beech Hill Pond area.
