If you are a MDI High School student, don't miss the opportunity to learn about the Ultimate Frisbee Team that is forming. A student/parent meeting will be held on Thursday, March 10th at 6 p.m. in the School Library.

The Ultimate Frisbee Team will be coached by Hannah Mondrach who played at UConn. Hannah teaches Chemistry, Environmental Science and Outdoor Science and her Assistant Coach is Christien Breau who is an Ed Tech at MDI High School.

The hope is to have 14 plus, and ideally 20 plus students sign up. MDI would like to field a co-ed team, which will require a minimum of 4 femaile players. The Ultimate game calls for 7 players on the field at all time. The cost for the students will be $40 which covers their USA Ultimate membership.

There will be 2 practices per week, probably mornings and games. Games will be Wednesdays in South Portland and the possibility of some closer games. Participating schools include

  • Camden Hills
  • Cape Elizabeth
  • Casco Bay
  • Cheverus
  • Cumberland
  • Falmouth
  • Forest City
  • Freeport
  • Freyburg Academy
