MDI Trojans Girls Basketball Triumphs Over Nokomis Warriors

The MDI Trojans Girl's Basketball Team beat the Nokomis Warriors 53-37 at Bernard Parady Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, January 3rd.

The Trojans jumped out to 14-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter as MDI drained 4 3-pointers. MDI led 30-13 at the end of the 1st Half, as Lilli Hanf score 6 points for the Trojans. MDI led 47-21 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Lily Norwood with 12 points, including 2 3-pointers. Lilli Hanf had 11 points with a 3-pointer. Calleigh Trenholm, Cassidy Dunbar, and Lily Collins each had a 3-pointer for MDI. The Trojans were 7-14 from the free throw line.

Raegan King had 19 points for the Warriors, including a 3-pointer. She scored all of Nokomis' points in the 1st Quarter (7), and had 10 of the Warrior's 13 points in the 1st Half. Brylee Beaulieu had a 3-pointer . Nokomis was 7-9 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 7-2. They will play at Hampden Academy on Tuesday, January 6th at 6:30 p.m.

Nokomis is 0-9. They will host the Oceanside Mariners on Tuesday, January 6th at 6:30 p.m.
